The champion numbers were: 10, 19, 26, 28, plus 50. The Mega Ball drawn was 16 by a Megaplier of 2X.
While nobody across the country hit Friday’s $750 million jackpot, there have been eight second-prize $1 million tickets sold across the country, including two in New Jersey.
The tickets matched five characters but in the Mega Ball. In New Jersey, they were purchased in Wallington and Sparta, lottery officials said.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 3, 11, 12, 38, and 43. The Mega Ball drawn was 15 with a Megaplier of 4X.
Thirty-five drawings are held since Adrian Tongson of Racine, Wisconsin hit the $120 million jackpot on Sept. 15. He chose the cash option and won $95.4 million before taxes.
Two mega million results jackpots were hit in New Jersey in 2020. An unidentified winner claimed the $202 million prize won on Feb. 11 with a ticket sold in Edison and a $124 million ticket was bought in Bayonne for the July 24 drawing.
Mega Millions of tickets cost $2 each and in New Jersey must be bought by 10:45 p.m. on the evening of the drawing. the chances of a ticket hitting the jackpot by matching five numbers and therefore the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 shot to win the second prize of a minimum of $1 million by matching five numbers.
